I was just offered a months paid vacation to stop dating the girl I am with, is this illegal?

I work with family and they are not happy with the girl I have decided to date, and I was offered a month's paid vacation to stop dating my girlfriend. Is this illegal/abuse of power or is this just highly unprofessional/unethical?|||No, it is perfectly legal. It isn't considered unprofessional or unethical either. It is a family matter, not an employment matter. You can always say No. But, as much as I'm sure you don't want to hear this, you really ought to think about why they dislike her so much. Love is blind, and there is a lot you probably are not seeing. Consider your relationship carefully before you decide.|||NO thats is not illegal thats just massed up want your family want you to do im sorry but it is the true and if you really love this girl u will not broke up with her...it is all up to you...:( sad because you family cant tell you who u can date and who u cant date...:( Dont do it because then later u will be like want in the world did i do with her why did i hurt her why why why??

Just think about things really good before u do things.:(|||It is not illegal.

It would be highly unethical/unprofessional if you accepted the offer and then continued to date your girlfriend.

How important is this girl to you? You might consider finding a job somewhere else.|||Dude, unless she's the one you best take the vacation or I'd imagine you'll be fired.

It's not illegal or unethical, it's an offer, one that if you decline will probably result in you being fired.|||Look for any laws on the books suggesting a breach of professional and personal interests, if none can be found (and you are under contract) then I would enjoy the vacation.|||NAh, no law stuff here, just really bad ethics.........
