In Ontario, is it wise to request vacation pay paid out before lay-off?

After applying for Ontario employement insurance, will the vacation pay be deducted from the EI benefit if I leave my vacation pay to be paid at the 2 week wait period after the lay-off? and if yes can this be avoided by requesting the vacation pay-out within the lay-off notice period?|||sure|||If you request %26amp; receive this payment, then the fact you have will be taken into account when figuring out your benefit. It makes no difference, you'll end up with the same amount of money.





Now go look for another job!
