Can I get a paid vacation at work if I take my honeymoon but do not have vacation time available?

Probably not. If you take off time beyond your allotted vacation time, it's unpaid.|||i don,t think u should be paid as u are taking holidays on your own time.

|||My guess would be no but to be 100% sure, contact your supervisor and/or human resources department.|||Nope.... you have to use your allotted time of vacation for a honeymoon as well as wedding time, paid that is. But if you request the time off and your company says no, you have no recourse but to quit or be fired. If you are in the US the only exception to this is the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) it states that if you, or someone in your family is ill you have 12 weeks to take off (with doctors filling out all kinds of paperwork and going through Human Resources before hand). The company must hold your job for you, and you can not be laid off or fired, but it is still time off without pay, and only starts after all of your paid time off has been used.|||Nope. It does not qualify for an FMLA.
